Idaho Falls Spud Kings
The Idaho Falls Spud Kings are the newest franchise in the USPHL’s Tier 3 Mountain Division. Joining the Utah Outliers, Provo Predators, Northern Colorado Eagles, Pueblo Bulls and Ogden Mustangs. The Spud Kings will play in Hero Arena, currently being constructed as a part of the Mountain America Center in Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls. The USPHL announced in July of 2022 that the Spud Kings, along with the other members of the Mountain Division, will be joining the Tier 2 NCDC for the 2023/24 season.
The Idaho Falls Spud Kings offer an unmatched experience in Junior Hockey, with a 4100 seat arena, complete with state of the art video board and ribbon boards, over 2000 season ticket holders, invested corporate partners, and other fan experiences.
The Spud Kings are proud members of the Elmore Sports Group, known for their top-notch professional teams from around the United States sports landscape. Other Elmore Sports teams include: The Utah Grizzlies, Idaho Falls Chukars, San Antonio Missions, Amarillo Sod Poodles, Rocky Mountain Vibes, Inland Empire 66ers, Eugene Emeralds and Lynchburg Hillcats. The Spud Kings are able to draw on this expertise to offer a professional hockey feel in Junior A hockey.
Mountain America Center
The Mountain America Center will be 48,000 square feet, multi-purpose facility located at Snake River Landing, just south of Idaho Falls and immediately adjacent to Interstate 15. The center will feature 27,000 square feet of arena space capable of hosting trade shows and business expos, ice hockey, rodeo, basketball and volleyball tournaments, indoor soccer, plus a variety of music and family entertainment events, such as Cirque de Soleil and Disney on Ice. Depending on the type of event, the event center will seat between 4,000 and 5,500 attendees. The event center will also feature a fully equipped convention center with flexible meeting spaces designed to accommodate 550 people. It is anticipated in its third year of operation; the MAC will host 160 event days per year and will annually attract over 120,000 attendees. Simply put, the MAC will be the premier facility for events in Eastern Idaho and will provide unparalleled opportunities for brands to interact with their customers and residents of Idaho Falls.
